MyGovernment™ is designed from the ground up to be a solution for libraries that need to provide government and elected officials data to their patrons. MyGovernment™ is a time-saving, low-cost, web-based government directory service that will allow library patrons and students to do all of their own research—eliminating the need for other costly directories and freeing up the librarian's valuable time.
MyGovernment™ provides simple look-up features, browse and search, in an easy to understand interface. Users locate exactly the information that they need and are provided links and action steps to help complete their task (send e-mail) or research.
Searching by zip code provides a unique comprehensive result of federal, state, and local officials displayed all together on one screen in a high resolution PDF that can be printed or even emailed.

Civic activists can find out which government officials are on the committees overseeing the issues of importance to them, and immediately email them with their comments and questions.
Students doing research can quickly and easily identify complete biographical and contact information, and even see photos for federal and state officials.
Voters researching incumbents before an election have one single easy-to-use tool to list their elected officials' Web sites containing their position statements and accomplishments.
Immigrants studying for their citizenship exam can use this tool to identify all their government representatives and print it out all on one sheet, organized by government sector.

Yes, yes, and almost. MyGovernment™ contains current information on every elected official in the federal and state governments. At the local level, MyGovernment™ contains current information on every elected official from towns with a population of 10,000 or more. No other Web or print directory goes to this comprehensive and deep a level of coverage.

MyGovernment™ radically changes the way librarians provide their patrons access to government officials contact information. Up till now, government directory publishers have never built a product—print or electronic—specifically designed for the library market. For years these publishers have organized their standard print and online directories for the professional market. The result is that libraries have paid steep prices for products that don't fit their (or their patrons) needs.
MyGovernment™ is the only product that brings all levels of government into one convenient interface. Other government directory publishers still sell their print and electronic products in different government sector editions. In most cases the library is forced to buy 4 different directories to get complete coverage (federal, state, county and local) costing thousands of dollars per set.
MyGovernment™ believes in giving the customer what they want. A typical library patron wants to know who his/her government officials are and could care less about the others. No other current government directory publisher provides a zip code look-up so that everyone can 1) identify who represents them, and 2) easily contact them. Users no longer have to look through four different directories.
MyGovernment™ costs a fraction of other government directory products, yet none of the other products provide the ease of use, comprehensiveness, timeliness and accuracy of MyGovernment™.

Librarians are overloaded with duties and responsibilities. Every other government directory product now offered requires the librarian to invest personal time to teach each patron the who, what and where of identifying and contacting government officials. MyGovernment™ will relieve them from this responsibility via its unique approach to how the data is accessed and via help screens, tutorials, and sample letters.
For the first time, a Web interface has been developed that is geared to the novice user. Libraries can have a MyGovernment™ icon on every desktop in their physical location. All the librarian has to do is point, and the user is on his/her way! This is a tool that anyone can use and get the results they are looking for.
The library can even "brand" MyGovernment™ as its own public service with the library name prominently displayed.

The annual subscription fee for MyGovernment™ is $695.00, but it is being offered for a limited time at a very special introductory rate of only $495.00 per physical location! For a little more than a dollar a day, every patron in your library or student in your school can have unlimited access to the most comprehensive and useful directory of elected government officials available anywhere. Inquire about consortia, county-, district-, and state-wide pricing.
